Hello friends of nature!

I am a 43-year-old Finnish photographer and musician. Music has played an important role in my life since I was about 14 or 15 years old and started to learn guitar playing with my father's old Landola. I have played both the electric and acoustic guitars and also keyboards in bands. I stopped playing in bands a few years ago and the acoustic guitar has taken the number one place in my playing since.

Lately I have been getting more and more interested in special and somewhat extraordinary acoustic instruments. I like the idea of creating unique music with real traditional instruments rather than using high-tech digital instruments. I'm not aiming to achieve 100% absolute perfection and technical quality in my playing. The atmosphere is more important and those little imperfections give my music a more natural feeling. This art project is all about being natural.

Nature photography has been a hobby of mine for quite many years now and it has opened my eyes into seeing the nature in a more deep or even spiritual perspective. Photography is not my profession at the moment but it's going into a more serious direction. Finnish nature gives me the inspiration for composing music and it helps me to relax and stabilize my mind in our rather restless, hectic and increasingly fast high-tech world. I must admit I am a little bit slow person. Our modern world is all about effectiveness and fast living filled with massive flood of information everywhere. This can be too much for a human being sometimes. Does everything have to be so fast and effective(?)

As I started combining my music with nature photography I discovered the results turned out to be something unique. Through my art I want to share some of my nature experiences and increase the respect and caring for our nature. We need tools to relax and keep our minds in peace. I believe our nature is one of the best tools available for this.

The earth is our home. Our home is not replaceable.

This art project is almost like therapy for me. It works for me so I hope it does the same for you :)
